Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je bio pomoću odabranih statističkih metoda utvrditi kretanje i strukturu inozemnih izravnih ulaganja (FDI) u Republiku Hrvatsku, te njihov utjecaj na BDP. Grafičkom analizom je utvrđeno da je Hrvatska primila od godine 1993. do 1. travnja 2018. preko 33 milijarde eura inozemnih izravnih investicija. U statističkoj analizi se koriste sekundarni podaci za BDP, FDI, nezaposlenost i inflaciju. U radu se korelacijskom i regresijskom analizom istražuje utjecaj FDI-a na BDP. Prema teoriji i dosadašnjim istraživanjima očekivani predznaci su potvrđeni za sve varijable. FDI statistički značajno i pozitivno utječe na stopu rasta BDP-a jer veće i razvijenije tržište nudi više mogućnosti stranim ulagačima.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to determine the movement and the structure of foreign direct investments (FDI) in Republic of Croatia by using statistical methods and the impact of FDI on GDP. Graphical analysis found that Croatia received over 33 billion EUR of foreign direct investment from 1993 to April, 2018. Statistical analysis uses data on GDP, foreign direct investment, unemployment and inflation. The study analyses the impact of foreign direct investment on GDP using correlation and regression analysis. According to theory and previous research, the expected direction of influence is confirmed for all variables. FDI positively and statistically significantly influences GDP growth rate, because a larger and more developed market offers more opportunities for foreign investors.
