Abstract
U ovom istraživačkom radu, posebno se stavlja naglasak na računovodstvenu profesiju koja je važna za cjelokupno poslovanje poduzeća posebno zbog prikupljanja informacija i sastavljanja financijskih izvještaja za potrebe internih i eksternih korisnika. Isto tako je od vitalne važnosti za javni i privatni sektor. Različiti korisnici se uvelike oslanjaju na računovođe i iz tog razloga sve njihove usluge, a posebno financijski izvještaji moraju biti prikazani točno, nepristrano i fer. Mnoge situacije mogu poljuljati principe profesionalne etike računovođa i na taj način ugroziti vjerodostojnost financijskih izvještaja. Stoga je usvojeno znanje i daljnje usavršavanje ključ za uspješnost organizacije. Kodeks etike za profesionalne računovođe navodi kako je razlikovno obilježje računovodstvene profesije njezino prihvaćanje odgovornosti da djeluje u javnom interesu, zbog čega odgovornost profesionalnog računovođe nije isključivo u tome da se zadovolje potrebe pojedinačnog klijenta ili poslodavca.
Abstract (english)
In this research work, special emphasis is placed on the accounting profession that is important for the entire business of the company, especially for gathering information and prepared financial statements for the needs of both internal and external users. It is also vital for the public and private sector. Different users rely heavily on accountants and for this reason all their services, especially financial reports, must be displayed accurately, impartially and fairly. Many situations may affect the professional ethics of accountants and thus jeopardize the credibility of financial statements. Therefore knowledge and further training are key to the organization's success. The Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants states that the difference in the accounting profession is its acceptance of responsibility to act in the public interest, which is why the professional accountant's responsibility solely to meet the needs of an individual client or employer.
