Abstract
Primarna svrha ovog rada bila je istražiti utjecaj oglašavanja na potražnju za ugostiteljskim uslugama. Dvije glavne metode za provedbu spomenutog istraživanja bile su istraživanje javno dostupnih podataka pojedinih ugostiteljskih sektora o troškovima oglašavanja i njihovom utjecaju na prihode i prodaju te anketa o stavovima ispitanika prema oglašavanju provedena u kolovozu 2020. godine. U provedenoj anketi sudjelovalo je 39 sudionika, od čega su blagu većinu činili muškarci. Najzastupljenija životna dob sudionika bila je 19-35 godina. Rezultati provodenih istraživanja pokazali su da je potražnja za ugostiteljskim uslugama pozitivno korelirana sa visinom izdataka za oglašavanja. Nadalje, istraživanjem je dokazano kako oglašavanje uistinu ima značajan utjecaj na potražnju za ugostiteljskim uslugama te, u konačici, kako su žene ipak nešto sklonije oglašavanju nego što je to slučaj kod muškaraca.
Abstract (english)
Primary purpose of this paper was to investigate the impact of advertising on demand for hospitality services. Two main methods used for implementation of mentioned investigation were investigating publicly available information about specific hospitality services sectors’ advertising costs and its’ impact on income and sales and survey about opinions of participants on advertising which was held in August of 2020. Total of 39 participants took part in conducted survey of which men represented a slight majority. Most represented age group of participants was 19-35 years old. Results of carried investigation have shown that demand for hospitality services is positively correlated with advertising amount of expenditure. Further on, through the following investigation it is shown that advertising truly has significant impact on the demand for hospitality services and also that women are slightly more inclined towards advertising than is the case with men.
