Abstract
Tema ovog rada je urbani turizam i održivi razvoj, što se odnosi na važnost održivosti načela u urbanim područjima i načela održivog razvoja. Važnost urbanih područja očituje se u tome da oni imaju ključnu ulogu u funkcioniranju cjelokupnog turističkog sustava. Urbani turizam je postao jedan od najbržih rastućih turističkih sektora u svijetu. Održivi razvoj od nas zahtjeva drugačiji način promišljanja, odnosno, vođenje brige o prirodnoj i kulturnoj baštini zemlje, borba za smanjenjem siromaštva i ravnomjerne raspodjele bogatstva koje nudi svijet. U radu su navedeni gradovi koji svojim dobrim primjerima navode ostale na poboljšanje uvjeta življenja, odnosno više „zeleniji“ način života. Ključno je povećanje obrazovanja i razumijevanje načela održivog razvoja.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this paper is urban tourism and sustainable development, which refers to the importance of sustainability principles in urban areas and the principles of sustainable development. The importance of urban areas is reflected in the fact that they play a key role in the functioning of the entire tourist system. Urban tourism has become one of the fastest growing tourism sectors in the world. Sustainable development requires a different way of thinking, that is, taking care of the country's natural and cultural heritage, fighting to reduce poverty and evenly distributing the wealth that the world has to offer. The paper lists cities that, with their good examples, lead others to improve living conditions, ie a more "greener" way of life. Increasing education and understanding the principles of sustainable development is key.
