Sustainable development is considered a complex issue due to uncertanity and conceptual accuracy of what sustainable development actually means. On Earth Summit it was concluded that the concept of Sustainable development is achievable goal for all people in the world, regardless of wheter they are local, regional or international. This concept was revlutionary for its time and provoked a lively debate within governments and between governments and their citizens on how to ensure sustainable development in the 21st century. There was a success among the Millenium Development goals which created a need to form another set of goals so called Sustainable development goals. With its 17 goals there was a need to connect some of them with tourism as implemenattion of sustainable tourism. Goal 8, 12 and 14 can be tighly connected with sustainable tourism implementation. Among the Sustainable development goals there is a need to also add Social Progress Index that is considered to be a new way of measuring the countries growth insted of GDP with Sustainable development goals being the main factor of a countries success. After connecting the SDG's with sustainable tourism there is another important factor that has to be considered while implementing sustainable tourism into destinations, travel agencies and organisations so called Sustainable tourism indicator. It can be divivided into three main influences, and those are Government, stakeholders and objective or subjective indicators. These 3 influceneces are considered higly important while measuring the success of the Sustainable Tourism. After analyzing Bhutan as a destination, green sail as a successfull organisation, Nomad logdes and Ecoventura as successful implementation troughout the travel agencies there are a lot of factor that prove that there are a lot of positive and successful pratices around the globe that are trying and succeding with the implementation of the Sustainable development into tourism.
