This paper presents the analysis of financial statements on the example of the hotel company Valamar Riviera d.d. The theoretical part of the paper presents the basic financial statements that the joint stock company Valamar Riviera is obliged to compile. The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Accounting Act, the Income Tax Act and the Value Added Tax Act. Analysis of financial statements of Valamar Riviere d.d. it was conducted using the analysis of financial indicators according to the data from the balance sheet and profit and loss account in the observed period from 2017 to 2020. Indicators that have been calculated and which seek to show the financial operations of Valamar Riviere d.d. are liquidity indicators, asset management indicators, debt management indicators and profitability indicators. In addition, a horizontal and vertical analysis was made of how he gained insight into the movement of the financial condition of the company in the period from 2017 to 2020. Through the conducted financial analysis, it obtained a picture of the company's operations, and significant changes that occurred in 2020 could be noticed. In 2020, there will be larger deviations compared to previous years. The reason for this is the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, which affected all economic branches, and had the greatest negative impact on the country's tourism. The impact of the pandemic on operations is reflected in the financial statements, balance sheet and income statement for 2020, where a large decline in total revenues and a negative financial result or loss at the end of the accounting period was recorded.
