Abstract
Razina korupcije se razlikuje u državama Europske unije. Ekonomske i institucionalne varijable mogu utjecati na razinu korupcije. Prema rezultatima istraživanja, za države Europske unije u razdoblju od 2012. godine do 2018. godine, renta iz prirodnih izvora i trošak poreza, statistički značajno utječu na rast razine korupcije, mjerenu Transparency International Indeksom percepcije korupcije, dok viša razina BDP-a po stanovniku, viša razina državne potrošnje, vladavina prava i kvaliteta javnih usluga, smanjuju razinu korupcije.
Abstract (english)
The level of corruption varies in the countries of the European Union. Economic and institutional variables can affect the level of corruption. According to the results, for the European Union countries in the period from 2012 to 2018, natural resources rents and cost of taxes have a statistically significant effect on the growth of the level of corruption, measured by the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index, while higher levels of GDP per capita, higher levels of government consumption, the rule of law, and the quality of public services, reduce the level of corruption.
