| Abstract | Rad se bavi makroekonomskim utjecajima rada na daljinu u uvjetima pandemije COVID-19. Makroekonomski utjecaji rada na daljinu počeli su se istraživati od 2019. godine, kada je zbog pandemije velik dio zaposlenika bio primoran preći na rad na daljinu. Do tog trenutka još od sedamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća istraživani su brojni drugi utjecaji rada na daljinu, kao npr. utjecaj na produktivnost i zadovoljstvo, psihosocijalni utjecaji, ravnoteža između privatnog i obiteljskog života, zdravstveni učinci rada na daljinu, i dr. Velik broj poslova koji su se počeli obavljati na daljinu uputio je i na mogućnost makroekonomskog doprinosa rada na daljinu. Istraživanja makroekonomskih utjecaja rada na daljinu otežavaju određeni problemi, kao što su neujednačenost terminologije, nepostojanje zasebnih i pouzdanih statističkih baza o zaposlenicima na daljinu i broju radnih sata, prekratak vremenski rok za sagledavanje makroekonomskih posljedica te subjektivni aspekt mjerenja produktivnosti. Trenutno je i dalje prisutan malen broj istraživanja makroekonomskih utjecaja rada na daljinu, a postojeća se istraživanja fokusiraju na vezu između BDP-a i udjela poslova koji se obavljaju na daljinu u nekom gospodarstvu. Analiza statističkih podataka pokazala da je u razvijenijim zemljama udio radnih mjesta na daljinu veći pa se pretpostavlja da takva mjesta daju i veći doprinos gospodarstvu. Osim utjecaja na BDP, rad na daljinu nedvojbeno daje doprinos još jednoj važnoj makroekonomskoj varijabli, a to je zaposlenost. Nažalost, veza između zaposlenosti i rada na daljinu još nije dovoljno istražena. S obzirom da će jedan dio poslodavaca sada redovito koristiti mogućnosti rada na daljinu, u budućnosti će i dalje postojati značajna zastupljenost ovakvog oblika rada, što je jedan od preduvjeta za provođenje ozbiljnih istraživanja. |
| Abstract (english) | The paper deals with the macroeconomic impacts of teleworking in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The macroeconomic impacts of teleworking have begun to be investigated since 2019, when a large part of employees was forced to switch to teleworking due to a pandemic. Until that time, since the 1970s, a number of other impacts of telework have been investigated, such as the impact on productivity and satisfaction, psychosocial impacts, work-life balance, the health effects of telework, etc. A large number of jobs that have begun to be performed remotely also pointed to the possibility of the macroeconomic contribution of teleworking. Research on the macroeconomic impacts of telework is hampered by certain problems, such as inconsistencies in terminology, lack of separate and reliable statistics on teleworkers and working hours, too short time frame for macroeconomic consequences, and the subjective aspect of measuring productivity. Currently, there is still a small amount of research on the macroeconomic impacts of telework, and existing research focuses on the relationship between GDP and the share of telework in an economy. The analysis of statistical data showed that in more developed countries the share of distance jobs is higher, so it is assumed that such jobs also make a greater contribution to the economy. In addition to the impact on GDP, teleworking undoubtedly contributes to another important macroeconomic variable, and that is employment. Unfortunately, the link between employment and teleworking has not yet been sufficiently explored. Given that some employers will now regularly use the possibilities of teleworking, in the future there will still be a significant representation of this form of work, which is one of the prerequisites for conducting serious research. |
