Observing the collapse of the world economy, there is a connection between the growth in the number of patients with Covid-19 and the collapse of the market in Croatia and the world. At the beginning of the crisis, the number of patients increased enormously daily, which was followed by numerous restrictions on the closing of facilities, the first quarantines, and the closure of many companies due to the impossibility of interdependence with foreign countries. By closing the air routes to China, other world markets also suffered, because China, as a global consumer of oil, is also connected to other world markets. With the arrival of the virus in Croatia, predictions were based on a possible global crisis. Many companies made losses in their operations, and thus unemployment also increased due to layoffs to reduce costs in the company. The employees who remained at work were adapting to the new conditions of working from home with certain restrictions. New problems such as stress, lack of information, and daily changes have affected the efficiency of employees' work. The employers met the employees as much as they could financially and provided them with the necessary equipment to work from home. Survival was questionable, but certain state subsidies were like a "wind at the back" and most companies have survived to this day. Innovativeness has also developed positive aspects such as increased digitization, growth of exports in agriculture in the amount of 7% compared to 2019, and the development of new companies for the provision of delivery services, for which the demand has continuously grown.
