Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati utjecaj bihevioralnih čimbenika na štednju stanovništva. Konkretno je ispitivan utjecaj pristranosti prema sadašnjosti (hiperboličkog diskontiranja) i pretjeranog samopouzdanja u okviru kognitivnih pristranosti i emocija zadovoljstva (motiviranosti) i straha od budućih događaja prilikom odlučivanja o štednji. Provedeno je istraživanje na uzorku od 158 ispitanika u Republici Hrvatskoj te je utvrđen negativan utjecaj pristranosti prema sadašnjosti i pretjeranog samopouzdanja na štednju, te pozitivan utjecaj motiviranosti i zadovoljstva te straha od budućih događaja.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper was to examine the influence of behavioral factors on population savings. Specifically, it investigated the influence of present bias (hyperbolic discounting) and overconfidence within the framework of cognitive biases, as well as the emotions of satisfaction (motivation) and fear of future events in decision-making related to savings. The research was conducted on a sample of 158 respondents in the Republic of Croatia, and the negative impact of present bias and overconfidence on saving was determined, as well as the positive impact of motivation and satisfaction, and fear of future events.
