The tax system is an integral part of each country and, as such, contributes to the growth and potential of individual countries. Within the tax system, there is a corporation tax, as one of the more important elements of each tax system. The objective of each tax, including corporation tax, is to collect revenue for the state and to facilitate the financing of expenditure. Although the corporation tax is only actively mentioned by half of the 20th century, it has become an indispensable part of each tax system over time. Today, with the exception of the purpose of revenue collection, corporate tax has also an impact on the collection of direct foreign investment and thus the economic growth of individual countries. In the first part of the work, presenting the subject matter and aim of the work, the method of research, the source of literature and at the end of the work content will be represented. Within the main part of the work, the forms of corporation tax of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Ireland, their details and their impact on the economy will be presented. Following the analysis of the corporation tax of both republics, the corporation tax as such and the impact on the economy of both states will be compared. Finally, a conclusion on the corporate tax of both states will be adopted and how the different approach to corporate tax affects the movement of the economy.
