Abstract
The aim of this paper is to create a comprehensive summary of the current state, knowledge and trends of digital transformation in the business environment. Using extensive research the process of implementation of digital transformation into the business is examined, as well as its perceived impact on business profitability and operational efficiency. Additionally, special focus of the paper is put on the financial industry to discuss in more detail how digital transformation affects business and the way operations are performed.
