Technology is constantly developing and there are more areas in which it can be implemented. In order for industries to remain competitive in the market, they must follow the development of digital technologies. This thesis explores the implementation of artificial intelligence in the retail industry using the example of Amazon Go. In order to get closer to consumers, they can use artificial intelligence to better understand consumer buying habits, their behavior, improve their experience and improve customer satisfaction, and thus improve their business. Amazon Go represents a cashier-less store concept based on advanced artificial intelligence, including machine learning, deep learning and computer vision. In these stores, users can simply enter, take the products and leave the store without the traditional checkout. The system precisely monitors the products that customers take from the shelves and automatically calculates their purchases. Amazon calls this technology "Just Walk Out" technology. It brings numerous advantages, including time saving, convenience and shopping experience at a new level. Although there are several challenges and potential drawbacks, Amazon Go stores are an example of how advanced technology can transform the traditional shopping experience and drive further development of artificial intelligence in retail and other industries.
