Abstract
Sigurnost informacijskih sustava postala je jedna od najvažnijih točki fokusa u svakodnevnom poslovanju. Mrežni resursi velikih korporacija te malih i srednjih poduzeća postali su česta meta napada s obzirom da preuzimanje kontrole nad tim resursima može pružiti napadačima veliku materijalnu korist. Međutim, unatoč velikim rizicima koji mogu nastupiti ukoliko adekvatne mjere zaštite nisu implementirane, mala i srednja poduzeća se ponekad odlučuju na odustajanje od primjene ovih zaštitnih mehanizama jer nemaju dovoljno financijskih resursa i znanja koje bi mogli uložiti u informatiku. Iz tog razloga cilj ovog rada je upoznati čitatelje s ulogom obrambene stijene kao mehanizmom zaštite pouzdanih mrežnih područja. U radu su obrađene dvije besplatne verzije obrambene stijene koje se mogu koristiti u poslovne svrhe te su prikazane najvažnije funkcionalnosti pomoću kojih se ostvaruje sveobuhvatna zaštita mreže.
Abstract (english)
The security of information systems has become one of the most important points of focus in everyday business. The network resources of large corporations and small to medium-sized enterprises have become a frequent target of attacks as taking control of these resources can provide attackers with great material benefits. However, despite the great risks that may arise if adequate protection measures are not implemented, small and medium-sized enterprises sometimes decide to abandon the application of these safeguards because they do not have enough financial resources and know-how to invest in informatics. For this reason, this paper aims to introduce readers to the role of the firewall as a protection mechanism of reliable network areas. The paper deals with two free firewall versions that can be used for business purposes and presents the most important functionalities that achieve comprehensive network protection.
