Abstract
Transparentnost monetarne politike podrazumijeva jasnu i otvorenu komunikaciju središnje banke o ciljevima, strategijama i donesenim odlukama. U radu se analizira transparentnost monetarne politike Sustava federalnih rezervi koja je ključna za povjerenje javnosti. Otvoreni sastanci i redovite publikacije omogućuju bolje razumijevanje ciljeva, odluka i ekonomskih uvjeta. Javni uvid u inflacijske ciljeve i strategije pomaže tržištima u predviđanju kamatnih stopa, potiče stabilnost i podržava dugoročno planiranje. Transparentnost olakšava prilagodbu središnje banke promjenama te jača integritet monetarnog sustava. Komunikacija o ekonomskim analizama, odlukama i prognozama osnažuje gospodarstvo i podržava bolje donošenje informiranih financijskih odluka. Transparentnost monetarne politike Sustava federalnih rezervi porasla je kroz vrijeme prvenstveno zahvaljujući redovitijem objavljivanju izjava nakon sjednica Odbora za otvoreno tržište kojima se detaljnije objašnjavaju odluke vezane uz kamatne stope i ekonomske projekcije.
Abstract (english)
The transparency of monetary policy implies clear and open communication by the central bank about the goals, strategies and decisions made. The paper analyzes the transparency of the monetary policy of the Federal Reserve System, which is crucial for public trust. Open meetings and regular publications enable a better understanding of goals, decisions and economic conditions. Public insight into inflation targets and strategies helps markets predict interest rates, fosters stability and supports long-term planning. Transparency facilitates adaptation to central bank changes and strengthens the integrity of the monetary system. Communication about economic analyses, decisions and forecasts strengthens the economy and supports better informed financial decision-making. The transparency of the Federal Reserve System's monetary policy has increased over time primarily due to the more regular release of statements after FOMC meetings, providing more detailed explanations of decisions related to interest rates and economic projections.
