The aim of this paper is to analyze the movement of average daily prices of leading companies in the Croatian confectionery industry and their yields in the pre-pandemic, pandemic, and post-pandemic periods. Additionally, a forecasting analysis for December 2023 was conducted. The companies analyzed in the paper are Kraš d.d., Zvečevo d.d., and Kandit d.o.o. The analysis was conducted using the R programming language. The main source of data for this paper is the websites of the Zagreb Stock Exchange, from which data on the average daily stock prices of selected companies were obtained. Furthermore, professional and scientific papers were used in the theoretical part of the paper. The paper concludes that during the crisis, Kandit d.o.o. and Zvečevo d.d. had fluctuating profit and loss values. Both companies reduced the number of employees, and they are characterized by a decreasing coefficient of financial stability. Kraš d.d. achieved profit throughout the crisis and increased the number of employees. Expected yields during the periods in which Zvečevo d.d. was profitable were higher than for Kraš d.d. stocks. In those periods, Zvečevo d.d. stocks were riskier for investment. In periods when Zvečevo d.d. incurred losses, expected yields decreased, and therefore, it was more profitable to invest in Kraš d.d. stocks. Predictive values were determined using selected representative forecasting models, based on which no significant changes in stock prices are expected for both companies in the next short-term period.
