Abstract
U radu se istražuje sigurnosni aspekt korištenja društvenih mreža, s naglaskom na zaštitu privatnosti korisnika i sigurnost podataka. Društvene mreže, kao što su Facebook, Twitter, Instagram i LinkedIn, postale su osnovni dio svakodnevnog života, povezujući milijarde ljudi širom svijeta. Međutim, sa sve većom upotrebom dolaze i povećani rizici za korisničku privatnost i sigurnost podataka. Cilj rada je analizirati sigurnosne politike društvenih mreža i ispitati korisnike kako bi se procijenila njihov osjećaj sigurnosti. Kroz analizu trenutnih prijetnji i rješenja, rad doprinosi razumijevanju kompleksnog sigurnosnog okruženja društvenih mreža i pruža smjernice za buduća istraživanja i razvoj sigurnosnih mjera. Za potrebe diplomskog rada provedeno je kvantitativno istraživanje putem online anketnog upitnika na društvenim mrežama kako bi se brzo prikupio što veći broj statističkih podataka. Zaključuje se da je kontinuirana edukacija korisnika, uz tehnološka unapređenja, ključna kako bi se korisnici osjećali sigurnije na društvenim mrežama.
Abstract (english)
The paper explores the security aspects of social media use, with a focus on protecting user privacy and data security. Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn have become an integral part of everyday life, connecting billions of people worldwide. However, with increased usage come heightened risks to user privacy and data security. The aim of the paper is to analyze the security policies of social networks and to survey users in order to assess their sense of security. Through the analysis of current threats and solutions, the paper contributes to the understanding of the complex security environment of social networks and provides guidelines for future research and the development of security measures. For the purposes of this thesis, a quantitative study was conducted using an online survey on social networks to quickly gather a large amount of statistical data. It concludes that continuous user education, along with technological advancements, is key to ensuring that users feel safer on social networks.
