Abstract
Rad analizira utjecaj ChatGPT-a, naprednog jezičnog modela razvijenog na temelju GPT-3.5 arhitekture, na sustav obrazovanja. Obuhvaća povijest umjetne inteligencije, različite grane i konkurente u industriji te detaljno opisuje karakteristike, arhitekturu i primjenu ChatGPT-a. Fokus istraživanja bio je na prednostima i izazovima korištenja ChatGPT-a u obrazovanju, kao što su personalizirano učenje, olakšavanje stvaranja nastavnog materijala, ali i etički izazovi poput plagiranja i pristranosti. Cilj je bio otkriti njegov utjecaj na sustav obrazovanja i kakvo studenti imaju razmišljanje o njemu u tom području. Provedeno je empirijsko istraživanje putem ankete među studentima koje je otkrilo da većina ispitanika prepoznaje prednosti ChatGPT-a u poboljšanju akademskih performansi, ali ističe potrebu za odgovornim korištenjem. Rezultati zaključuju da unatoč potencijalu za unaprjeđenje obrazovnog iskustva, korištenje ChatGPT-a zahtijeva daljnji razvoj i pažljivo razmatranje etičkih i društvenih primjena.
Abstract (english)
The paper analyzes the impact of ChatGPT, an advanced language model developed based on the GPT-3.5 architecture, on the education system. It covers the history of artificial intelligence, various branches and competitors in the industry and provides a detailed description of the characteristics, architecture, and application of ChatGPT. The focus of the research was on the advantages and challenges of using ChatGPT in education, such as personalized learning, facilitating the creation of teaching materials, as well as ethical challenges like plagiarism and bias. The aim was to explore its impact on the education system and how students perceive it in that context. An empirical study was conducted through a survey among students, revealing that most respondents recognize the benefits of ChatGPT in improving academic performance but emphasize the need for responsible use. The results conclude that despite its potential to enhance the educational experience, the use of ChatGPT requires further development and careful consideration of ethical and social applications.
