Abstract
Uvođenje eura u Republici Hrvatskoj, koje je započelo 1. siječnja 2023. godine, značajno je utjecalo na robnu razmjenu zemlje. Ovaj završni rad analizira kako prelazak na euro kao službenu valutu mijenja trgovinske tokove Hrvatske s eurozonom i ostatkom svijeta. Fokus istraživanja je na uklanjanju valutnog rizika, smanjenju transakcijskih troškova i jačanju ekonomske integracije s ključnim trgovinskim partnerima. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na to kako euro pridonosi konkurentnosti hrvatskih proizvoda, olakšava izvoz i povećava stabilnost uvoza.
Abstract (english)
The introduction of the euro in the Republic of Croatia, which began on January 1, 2023, has significantly impacted the country's trade. This thesis analyzes how the transition to the euro as the official currency changes Croatia's trade flows with the Eurozone and the rest of the world. The research focuses on eliminating currency risk, reducing transaction costs, and strengthening economic integration with key trading partners. Special emphasis is placed on how the euro contributes to the competitiveness of Croatian products, facilitates exports, and enhances the stability of imports.
