Abstract
Od početka 21. stoljeća, razvojem tehnologije novac je počeo mijenjati svoj oblik te su započele rasprave o budućim oblicima novca. Širenjem privatnih digitalnih valuta, kriptovaluta, poput Bitcoina i razvojem novih tehnologija kao što su blockchain i distribuirane knjige Središnje banke diljem svijeta počele su ozbiljno istraživati ​​sustave centralnobankarskog digitalnog novca. U prvom desetljeću 21.stoljeća banke su potaknute tehnološkim napretkom, promjenjivim okruženjem plaćanja i potrebom za rješavanjem izazova koje postavljaju privatne digitalne valute počele sa projektima implementacije digitalnih valuta središnjih banaka. Digitalne valute središnjih banaka potaknule bi financijsku uključenost, financijski sustav bio bi efikasniji, a zaštita od gubitka bila bi minimalna, ali se javljaju nova pitanja poput ugroze privatnosti, riziku propadanja komercijalnih banaka i slično. U ovom radu bit će spomenute prednosti i mane ove nove vrste gotovine središnje banke kao i detaljan opis procesa planiranja i implementacije centralnobankarskog digitalnog novca.
Abstract (english)
Since the beginning of the 21st century, with the development of technology, money has begun to change its form, and discussions about future forms of money have begun. With the proliferation of private digital currencies, cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and the development of new technologies such as blockchain and distributed ledgers, Central Banks around the world have begun to seriously explore central bank digital currency systems. In the first decade of the 21st century, banks, motivated by technological progress, the changing payment environment and the need to solve the challenges posed by private digital currencies, started projects to implement central bank digital currencies. Central bank digital currencies would encourage financial inclusion, the financial system would be more efficient, and protection against loss would be minimal, but new issues arise, such as the threat to privacy, the risk of failure of commercial banks, and the like. This paper will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of this new type of central bank cash, as well as a detailed description of the process of planning and implementing central bank digital money.
