Abstract
Od 2020. do 2023. Hrvatska je doživjela značajne makroekonomske fluktuacije pod utjecajem pandemije COVID-19 i kasnijeg oporavka. U 2020. godini gospodarstvo se oštro smanjilo za oko 8,4% zbog mjera karantene i smanjenog turizma, vitalnog sektora. Međutim, u 2021. BDP se oporavio sa stopom rasta od približno 8%, potaknut oživljavanjem turizma i snažnim izvoznim rezultatima. Stope inflacije počele su rasti 2022., potaknute prekidima u globalnom opskrbnom lancu i skokovima cijena energije, dosegnuvši oko 10%. Hrvatska Vlada provodi mjere za potporu ugroženim sektorima i kućanstvima. Do 2023. gospodarstvo se stabiliziralo, s projiciranim rastom od oko 2 % kako se turizam oporavio, a fondovi EU-a omogućili infrastrukturna ulaganja. Ulazak Hrvatske u eurozonu u siječnju 2023. također je označio značajnu prekretnicu s ciljem jačanja gospodarske stabilnosti i privlačenja stranih ulaganja. Sve u svemu, hrvatsko gospodarsko okruženje odražavalo je otpornost na globalne izazove. Inflacija je narasla i to do 16% u jednome trenu.
Abstract (english)
From 2020 to 2023, Croatia experienced significant macroeconomic fluctuations influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent recovery. In 2020, the economy contracted sharply by around 8.4% due to lockdown measures and reduced tourism, a vital sector. However, in 2021, GDP rebounded with a growth rate of approximately 8%, driven by a resurgence in tourism and strong export performance. Inflation rates began to rise in 2022, fueled by global supply chain disruptions and energy price hikes, reaching around 10%. The Croatian government implemented measures to support vulnerable sectors and households. By 2023, the economy stabilized, with growth projected at around 2% as tourism recovered and EU funds facilitated infrastructure investments. Croatia's entry into the Eurozone in January 2023 also marked a significant milestone, aiming to enhance economic stability and attract foreign investment. Overall, Croatia’s economic landscape reflected resilience amid global challenges. Inflation was at an high at 16% even.
