Abstract
Sustainable finance plays a crucial role in combating climate change. Since money drives much of the world, it also shapes society's influence on addressing the impacts of climate change. Sustainability-linked bonds are used to raise capital for entities aiming to achieve significant decarbonization and advance a variety of environmental and social objectives. They fall in the same category as other sustainable debt financing initiatives, green, social, and sustainable (GSS) bonds known as ‘use of proceeds’ bonds. However, sustainability-linked bonds are the latest developed bonds out of the mentioned sustainable initiatives and include notable differences. The main idea of this research is to carefully analyze sustainability-linked bonds in the eyes of the issuer and from the perspective of a creditor. The research focuses on providing deep understanding of sustainability-linked bonds and their influence on society.
Abstract (croatian)
Održivo financiranje igra ključnu ulogu u borbi protiv klimatskih promjena. Budući da novac pokreće velik dio svijeta, on također oblikuje utjecaj društva na rješavanje utjecaja klimatskih promjena. Obveznice povezane s održivošću koriste se za prikupljanje kapitala za subjekte koji imaju za cilj postići značajnu dekarbonizaciju i unaprijediti niz ekoloških i društvenih ciljeva. Spadaju u istu kategoriju kao i druge inicijative za financiranje održivog duga, zelene, socijalne i održive (GSS) obveznice poznate kao obveznice za korištenje prihoda u svrhu zelenih projekata. Međutim, obveznice povezane s održivošću najnovije su razvijene obveznice od spomenutih održivih inicijativa i uključuju značajne razlike. Glavna ideja ovog istraživanja je pažljivo analizirati obveznice povezane s održivošću u očima izdavatelja i iz perspektive vjerovnika. Istraživanje je usmjereno na pružanje dubljeg razumijevanja obveznica povezanih s održivošću i njihovog utjecaja na društvo.
