Abstract
Električna energija predstavlja važan pogon za razvoj ljudske civilizacije, te možemo tvrditi da je električna energija, njezin najfleksibilniji i najkomercijalniji oblik. Takva vrsta energije se nalazi u svakom aspektu gospodarstva, te ona predstavlja značajni dio razvoja svake zemlje. Razvoj gospodarstva uvelike ovisi i o stupnju liberalizacije tržišta električne energije, odnosno povećavanjem konkurencije kako bi se stvorili uvjeti za poslovanje većeg broja natjecatelja umjesto samo jednog, monopolistu. Europska unija je zbog važnosti električne energije, uspostavila nadnacionalno zakonodavstvo koje želi stvoriti i regulirati jedinstveno tržište električne energije na području Europske unije. U ovom radu se analizira stanje na tržištu električne energije u Europskoj uniji i Republici Hrvatskoj, počevši od same povijesti proizvodnje električne energije, popularno zvane struja, pa do ustroja novog, modernog tržišta koje ne preferira monopol. Liberalizacija, deregulacija, regulacija, prirodni monopol, samo su djelići ove složene strukture čime se bavi ovaj rad. Tržište električne energije Europske unije ima veliki potencijal daljnjeg razvoja takve vrste energije i njenog tržišta, u kojem svoju ulogu nalazi i Republika Hrvatska, sa svojim geografskim položajem, ali i prirodnim potencijalima.
Abstract (english)
Electricity is an important facility for the development of human civilization, and we can say that electricity is the most flexible and most commercial form of energy. This type of energy is found in every aspect of the economy, and it is an important part of the development of any country. The development of the economy is largely influenced by degree of liberalization of the electricity market and increasing competition in order to create conditions for a large number of candidates instead of just one, the monopolist. Due to the importance of electrical energy, European Union established a supranational legislation that seeks to create and regulate the single electricity market in the European Union. This paper analyzes the situation in the electricity market in the European Union and the Republic of Croatia, from the beginning of electricity production to the formation of a new, modern market, which does not support the monopoly. Liberalization, deregulation, regulation, natural monopoly, are just pieces of this complex structure, which is subject in this paper. The electricity market of the European Union has a great potential for further development of its market, especially including Republic of Croatia, because of its geographical position and natural resources.
