Abstract
Ulaganje viškova sredstava u otvorene investicijske fondove s javnom ponudom umjesto u oročenu štednju danas je vrlo aktualna tema. U inozemstvu ulaganje u investicijske fondove već godinama zauzima značajan postotak unutar svih štedno-investicijskih proizvoda, dok je u Hrvatskoj taj postotak iznimno nizak. Međutim, danas su kamate na štednju u bankama vrlo niske, a štediše su naviknuti ostvarivati prinose određene visine na svoju štednju te su sa prinosima koje ostvaruju danas nezadovoljni. Ulaganje u otvorene investicijske fondove s javnom ponudom im postaje sve privlačnije i zanimljivije. Dakle, štediše biraju između sigurnosti i niskih prinosa, te neizvjesnosti ulaganja u investicijske fondove i mogućnosti viših prinosa. U radu su ispitana i prezentirana saznanja i stavovi studenata Sveučilišta u Zagrebu o ulaganju vlastitih sredstava u otvorene investicijske fondove. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da većina studenata nije uopće, ili je vrlo malo upoznata s mogućnostima ulaganja u otvorene investicijske fondove s javnom ponudom. Većina studenata također smatra kako bi određena vrsta marketinške kampanje podigla svijest o mogućnosti ulaganja u otvorene investicijske fondove s javnom ponudom te da bi edukacija o ulaganju u fondove njima osobno bila vrlo korisna. U radu se dalje analiziraju i argumentiraju prednosti i nedostaci ulaganja u otvorene investicijske fondove te se raspravlja o budućem potencijalu ulaganja u otvorene investicijske fondove s javnom ponudom u Hrvatskoj, kao alternativa oročenoj štednji. Zbog niskih kamatnih stopa na štednju koje štediše čine nezadovoljnima te male upućenosti stanovništva u mogućnosti ulaganja u otvorene investicijske fondove s javnom ponudom koja se znatno može poboljšati kvalitetnom edukacijom, potencijal ulaganja u otvorene investicijske fondove s javnom ponudom u Hrvatskoj je prilično značajan.
Abstract (english)
Investing money in open-ended investment funds with a public offering instead of term savings in banks is a very attractive topic these days. Investing in open-ended investment funds overseas takes a significant percentage among all savings-investment products and in Croatia is this percentage very low. However, interest rates on savings in banks are today at a very low level which makes savers unsatisfied because they are used to get pretty high interest yields. Investing in open-ended investment funds with a public offering becomes more and more attractive and interesting for them. Savers should choose between safeness with low yields and risk with a chance of higher yields. In the thesis are questioned and presented the knowledge and attitudes of students of University of Zagreb about investing in open-ended investment funds. The research results show that majority of students is not at all familiar, or familiar at the very low level with investing in open-ended investment funds with a public offering. The majority of students also think that the knowledge about investing in open-ended investment funds with a public offering could be improved by advertising them in some specific marketing campaign, and many students claim that education about investing in funds would be very usefull to them. Further in the thesis are discussed advantages and disadvantages of investing in open-ended investment funds with a public offering, as well as future potential of investing in those funds in Croatia, as an alternative to term savings in banks. Due to low interest rates on savings which make savers unsatisfied, and pretty low knowledge about possibilities of investing in open-ended investment funds with a public offering which can be improved by education, potential of investing in open-ended investment funds with a public offering is significant.
