Abstract
Financijska stabilnost predstavlja jedan od najvažnijih ciljeva većine središnjih banaka. Također je nemoguće ostvariti uobičajene ciljeve monetarne politike bez razvijenog i stabilnog financijskog sustava kroz koji se pozitivni učinci prenose na cjelokupno gospodarstvo. Za očuvanje financijske stabilnosti potrebna je dobra međusobna povezanost i neometano funkcioniranje svih segmenata financijskog sustava; financijskih tržišta, posrednika i financijske infrastrukture. Način djelovanja središnje banke na financijsku stabilnost različit je u većini zemalja te ovisi o financijskom sustavu unutar kojeg djeluje. Svrha ovog rada je ukazati na važnost financijske stabilnosti za provođenje monetarne politike te njene učinke na cjelokupno gospodarstvo.
Abstract (english)
Financial stability is one of the most important objectives of most central banks. It is also impossible to achieve the common goals of monetary policy without a developed and stable financial system through which the positive effects of the policy are transferred to the entire economy. To preserve financial stability it is important to have good interconnection and the smooth operation of all segments of the financial system; financial markets, intermediaries and financial infrastructure. The mode of action of central banks varies in most countries and depends on the financial system within which it operates. The purpose of this paper is to show the importance of financial stability for conduct of monetary policy and analyze its effects on the overall economy.
