Abstract
Promet je kamen temeljac procesa europskih integracija i čvrsto je povezan sa stvaranjem i dovršetkom unutarnjeg tržišta kojim se promiče zapošljavanje i gospodarski rast. Danas se u pogledu prijevoza robe konačni cilj suzio na to da roba treba doći od pošiljatelja primatelju što brže, sigurnije i učinkovitije čime se osigurava kontinuitet transportnog lanca. Multimodalnost, kao viša razina integracije prijevoza tereta, upravo je rezultat tih zahtjeva o neprekinutom i neprekidnom prijevozu. U ovom radu stavlja se naglasak na organizaciju prijevoza pomoću suvremenih multimodalnih transportnih tehnologija kao i sudionika koji također igraju važnu ulogu unutar ove vrste prijevoza. Važnosti daljnjeg razvoja intermodalnog transporta svijesni su u Europskoj uniji kao i u Hrvatskoj i zbog toga provode prometnu politiku koja omogučava razvitak tog načina transporta. Ulaganjima u ovaj vid prometa postiže se efikasnost, prvenstveno troškovna i vremenska, u upravljanju prometom roba i usluga.
Abstract (english)
Transport is the cornerstone of the European integration process and is firmly connected with the creation and completion of the internal market which promotes employment and economic growth. Today in terms of transportation of goods ultimate goal narrowed the fact that the goods should come from the sender to the recipient faster, safer and more effectively ensuring the continuity of the transport chain. Multimodality, as a higher level of integration of freight transport, was just a result of these requirements on a continuous and uninterrupted transport. This paper puts emphasis on the organization of transportation using modern multi-modal transport technologies as well as participants, which also play an important role in this type of transportation. The importance of further development of intermodal transport is present in European Union as well as in Croatia and therefore transport policy that enables the development of this mode of transport should be implemented. Investments in this type of traffic result in efficient management of goods and services, especially in terms of costs and time.
