Technology development has provided companies with different approaches when it comes to conducting their business, while giving consumers a new purchase and product payment experience. Nowadays, business trends require companies to quickly and efficiently react to growing consumers' needs, which led to the emergence of new types of payment for products and services in digital environment. In the recent years, the increase in the mobile usage for different purposes is evident, such as information search, product purchase, viewing video content and other. Nowadays, consumers can take advantage of the faster and simpler payment process by using mobile payment services. However, speaking of mobile payment services, a certain amount of risk is inevitable which, because of its specifitiy, can then affect the payment choice. The aim of this paper is to determine the dominant type of perceived risk associated with the usage of mobile payment system, while also to determine the dominant type of perceived risk among the respondents who do not use the mobile payment system, and compare the possible differences with respondents who use the mobile payment system. The research was conducted through an online questionnaire and the results of the research indicate that consumers that are using mobile payment system have a low level of perceived risk for each type of risk. On the other hand, consumers that are not using the mobile payment system have a higher but moderate level of perceived risk.
