Abstract
Porastom stanovništva, razvitkom suvremene tehnologije i industrijalizacije, a osobito razvitkom masovnog prometa čovjek je u dvadesetom stoljeću znatno poremetio prirodnu ravnotežu ekosustava. Klasične grane prometa kao što su cestovni i željeznički promet, a u novije vrijeme i zračni te cjevovodni promet sa svojim postrojenjima značajno doprinose onečišćenju čovjekova okoliša. Konvencionalni promet doprinosi sve većem opsegu zagađenja zraka, voda i zemlje različitim produktima. To nisu samo produkti sagorijevanja motora, već i otpadne tvari različitih sustava, oblika i svojstava, ispušni plinovi motora, buka i vibracije. Znanost, suvremena infrastruktura, promet i tehnologija trebaju doprinijeti smanjenju onečišćenja okoliša. To bi svakako povećalo mogućnosti za uživanjem u prirodnom krajoliku, što je okosnica razvoja održivog prometnog sustava.
Abstract (english)
With the growth of the population, with the development of modern technology and industrialization, and especially with the development of mass transport, in the twentieth century man significantly disrupted the natural balance of the ecosystem. The classic branches of transport, such as road and rail transport, and more recently air and pipelines with their facilities have significantly contributed to the pollution of the environment. Conventional transport contributes to the increasing range of air, water and land pollution by various products. These are not only products of engine combustion, but also waste of different systems, shapes and properties, engine exhaust, noise and vibration. Science, modern infrastructure, transport and technology should all contribute to reducing environmental pollution. This would certainly increase opportunities to enjoy the natural landscape, which is the backbone of developing a sustainable transport system.
