Abstract
Na početku istraživanja o utjecaju obrazovanja i bračnog stanja na mortalitet pretpostavili smo da će najveći broj umrlih biti kod onih ljudi koji nisu završili školu ili koji imaju završenu osnovnu školu, odnosno kod onih ljudi nisu u braku ili su se razveli. Prilikom istraživanja dotaknuli smo se i problema negativnog prirodnog prirasta u Hrvatskoj te njegovim potencijalnim uzrocima. Prilikom istraživanja o utjecaju obrazovanja na mortalitet ustanovili smo kako je najveći broj umrlih srednje životne dobi najveći kod onih koji su završili srednjoškolko obrazovanje. To smo povezali sa najčešćim uzrokom smrti u tih dobnih skupina. Rezultati su pokazali da su najčešći uzrok smrti u srednjoj životnoj dobi ozlijede, otrovanja i neke druge posljedice vanjskih uzroka.
