Abstract
Predmet istraživanja ovog diplomskog rada je tržište sindiciranih kredita. Sindicirani krediti imaju značajnu ulogu u korporativnom financiranju, osobito kada je riječ o transakcijama i kreditima velikih razmjera. Također, sindicirano kreditiranje pruža određene koristi i korisnicima kredita i kreditorima kroz adresiranje tipičnih pitanja korporativnih zajmova. S aspekta donošenja investicijskih odluka, presjek povijesnih kretanja i razumijevanje ključnih karakteristika ove vrste zajmova i tržišnih čimbenika, aktualna su tema interesa financijskih institucija, investitora i istraživačke zajednice. U istraživačkom fokusu ovog diplomskog rada su značajke, ekonomske koristi i ograničenja sindiciranih kredita te analiza globalnog tržišta sindiciranih kredita u odnosu na njegove ukupne volumene, geografsku i industrijsku disperziranost te utjecaj globalne financijske krize. Cilj rada je identificirati i prikazati ključne čimbenike koji utječu na tržište sindiciranih kredita te analizirati prednosti i izazove sindiciranih kredita. Istraživanje u radu doprinosi boljem razumijevanju funkcioniranja sindiciranih kredita i trendova na vodećim svjetskim tržištima sindiciranih kredita.
Abstract (english)
The subject of this thesis is the market of syndicated loans. Syndicated loans have a significant role in corporate financing, especially when it comes to large-scale transactions and loans. Also, syndicated lending provides certain benefits to both borrowers and lenders through addressing typical corporate loan issues. From the aspect of making investment decisions, a cross-section of historical trends and understanding the key characteristics of this type of loans and market factors are current topics of interest for financial institutions, investors and the research community. The research focus of this thesis are the characteristics, economic benefits and limitations of syndicated loans and analysis of the global syndicated loan market in relation to its total volume, geographical and industrial dispersion and the impact of the global financial crisis. The aim of the thesis is to identify and present the key factors influencing the syndicated loan market and to analyze the advantages and challenges of syndicated loans. The research contributes to a better understanding of the functioning of syndicated loans and trends in the world's leading syndicated loan markets.
