Abstract
Gospodarenje otpadom aktualna je tema i jedan od glavnih problema današnjice. Loš sustav gospodarenja otpadom u Hrvatskoj, nedovoljno sprječavanje nastanka otpada te odvajanja otpada izravno dovode do onečišćenja okoliša. Analizom trenutačnog stanja, mjera i financiranja sustava prikazat će se kako donošenje ciljeva i provođenje mjera utječe na poboljšanje održivog gospodarenja otpadom, s dodatnim ciljem podizanja svijesti i edukacije građana. Gospodarenje otpadom nije samo ekonomsko, već i društveno pitanje čije će se posljedice odraziti na generacije koje tek dolaze.
Abstract (english)
Waste management is a hot topic and one of the main problems of the contemporary society. Poor management system in Croatia, the insufficient prevention of waste generation and waste separation directly lead to environmental pollution. The analysis of the current situation, measures and the financing of the mentioned system will reveal how the adoption of goals and implementation of measures affect improvements in the sustainable waste management, aiming to raise awareness and educate. Waste management is not just a segment of economy, but also a social issue that impacts future generations.
