Abstract
Od začetaka razvoja turizma Europske ekonomske zajednice i turističke politike, do Europske unije kakva je danas, postoji mnoštvo kvalitativnih i kvantitativnih trendova koji su postali neizostavan indikator kretanja turističke ponude i potražnje. Zato je potrebno njihovo konstantno praćenje, proaktivno djelovanje i prilagođavanje, kako bi se u bliskoj budućnosti naglasili pozitivni i predvidjeli negativni ishodi. Turizam će se uvijek suočavati s izazovima i nepredvidljivim utjecajima. Međutim, usprkos većim krizama i prijetnjama, koje će biti razrađene kroz ovaj diplomski rad, turizam pokazuje veliku otpornost i stalni rast što rezultira pretežno pozitivnim trendovima na turističkom tržištu Europske unije.
Abstract (english)
Since the early begginings of European Economic Community and development of tourism policy, till the European Union as it stands today, array of qualitative and quantitative trends as indicators of changes in tourism supply and demand has formed. Their constant monitoring, corresponding adjustments and proactive actions are neccessary to emphasize positive and anticipate negative outcomes in the near future. Challenges and unpredictable impacts are something tourism will always face. However, despite numerous crisis and threats which will be disscussed throughout this paper, resilience and constant growth of tourism market of the EU assures mainly positive trends.
