Abstract
Predmet analize ovoga rada je istraživanje preuzimanja poduzeća u industriji visoke tehnologije uz konkretan primjer poduzeća Facebook Inc. i poduzeća WhatsApp inc. Pošto je industrija visoke tehnologije ili tkzv. „high tech“ industrija u visokom rastu, neizbježne su integracije između poduzeća. Trenutačno su u trendu preuzimanja i spajanja poduzeća u istoj industriji, kako spajanja velikih i utjecajnih korporacija, tako su i sve češća preuzimanja malih start-up poduzeća. Usprkos svojoj veličini, mala start-up poduzeća uspijevaju svojim osnivačima donijeti milijarde dolara, što je fenomen u modernoj ekonomiji. U radu su korištene različite kvantitativne i kvalitativne analize poduzeća i tržišta, te se utvrđuje uspješnost pojedinih slučajeva. Cilj je utvrditi koliko je preuzimanje utjecalo na poslovanje poduzeća „preuzimatelja“ i „poduzeća mete“.
Abstract (english)
The subject of the analysis of this paper is the research of the takeover of companies in the high-tech industry with a concrete example of the company Facebook Inc. and WhatsApp Inc. Since the industry is high technology or so-called "High tech" industry in high growth, integrations between companies are inevitable. There are current trends in takeovers and mergers of companies in the same industry, both mergers of large and private corporations, and increasingly frequent takeovers of small start-ups. Despite their size, small start-ups manage to bring billions of dollars to their founders, a phenomenon in the modern economy. The paper uses various quantitative and qualitative analyzes of companies and markets and determines the success of individual cases. The goal is to determine how much the takeover affected the business of the "acquirer" and the "target company".
