Abstract
Diplomski rad se bazira na analizi monetarne politike Češke i Poljske i utjecaja monetarne politike na gospodarski rast i razvoj koji je ostvaren u tim zemljama. Pružen je uvid u gospodarska i monetarna kretanja u tim zemljama koji obuhvaća razdoblje od prelaska na tržišno gospodarstvo do danas. Definira se strategija monetarne politike ciljanja inflacije te instrumenti koje središnje banke Češke i Poljske koriste prilikom provođenja monetarne politike. Također će se provesti analiza spremnosti Češke i Poljske za uvođenje eura. Sukladno sa provedenim analizama, definirat će se razlozi oklijevanja obje zemlje po pitanju ulaska u europodručje te navesti koristi i troškovi potencijalnog članstva u europodručju.
Abstract (english)
The master's thesis is based on analysis of the monetary policy of Czechia and Poland and the impact of monetary policy on economic growth and development achieved in these countries. An insight into the economic and monetary developments in these countries, which covers the period from the transition to a market economy to the present day, is provided. The monetary strategy of inflation targeting and the instruments used by the central banks of Czechia and Poland in conducting monetary policy are defined. The readiness of Czechia and Poland to adopt the euro will also be investigated. In accordance with made analyzes, the motivation behind reluctance of the countries in joining the euro area will be defined and cost- benefit analysis of potential membership in the euro area will be provided.
