The main objective of this research is to analyze cultural tourism and to research the interrelationship between the concept of culture and tourism on the example of the city of Paris. Considering that the theme is cultural tourism, the terms of culture and tourism will be defined separately in order to explain cultural tourism better. The research is based on analysis of cultural tourism through selected destination, city of Paris. The aim is to present cultural tourism and its development on the example of Paris. The content is divided on two chapters which contain several subheadings. First of all, the concept of cultural tourism will be explained same as the terms of culture and tourism. Then follows the development of cultural tourism through history and nowdays. Afterwards, there will be the description of cultural tourists and their main characteristics and finally the demand and resources in cultural tourism. The next chapter is going to envelope the analysis of cultural tourism through one well known cultural city, Paris. Firstly, the geographical position will be explained in details as well as the general features of the city. In the next chapter the tourism supply of Paris will be described as well as its cultural heritage. Finally, the further opportunities and limitations of the development of cultural tourism in Paris will be analysed and researched.
