Abstract
Poduzeća otvaranjem novih radnih mjesta, rastom proizvodnje i potrošnje te inovacijama hrane ekonomski razvoj svakog gospodarstva. Ova tema posebice je korisna u trenutnom razdoblju kada većina tvrtki osjeća negativne posljedice korona virusa i kada nema prostora za odabir neadekvatnih osoba za upravljanje poslovanjem, a kako su pokazali rezultati istraživanja, crte ličnosti važna su determinanta radnog ponašanja osobe i izbora specifičnog posla ili karijere. Cilj diplomskog rada je istražiti temeljne razlike u osobnosti menadžera i poduzetnika u Republici Hrvatskoj. Za potrebe istraživanja korišteni su primarni podaci sabrani pomoću anketnog upitnika naziva The Five-Factor Personality Inventory III (Hendriks, Hofstee, De Raad, Brokken, 2019.) dostupnog na web stranici te sekundarni podaci iz stručne literature. Korišten je prigodni uzorak poduzetnika i menadžera te je istraživanje provedeno online. Za usporedbu rezultata korišten je Mann Whitney U test. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da se poduzetnici i menadžeri Republike Hrvatske blago razlikuju prema teorijskim pretpostavkama, no u svim dimenzijama osim Savjesnosti ne postoji statistički značajna razlika između te dvije skupine.
Abstract (english)
By creating new jobs, growing production, consumption and innovating, companies feed the economic development of each economy. This topic is especially useful in the current period when most companies feel the negative effects of coronavirus and when there is no room for selecting inadequate people to manage the business and as research shows, personality traits are an important determinant of a person's work behavior and choice of specific job or career. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the fundamental differences in the personalities of managers and entrepreneurs in the Republic of Croatia. For the purposes of the research, primary data is collected using a survey questionnaire called The Five-Factor Personality Inventory III (Hendriks, Hofstee, De Raad, & Brokken, 2019) available on the website and secondary data from the professional literature were used. A convenient sample of entrepreneurs and managers was used, and the research was conducted online. The Mann Whitney U test was used to compare the results. The results of the research showed that entrepreneurs and managers of the Republic of Croatia differ slightly according to theoretical assumptions, but in all dimensions except Conscientiousness there is no statistically significant difference between the two groups..
