The topic of this final paper is Investment funds in Croatia. The paper is written in five chapters consisting of an introduction, a main part and a conclusion. The aim of this final paper is to describe and introduce investment funds in Croatia in a way that explains their purpose, to recognize the importance of investment funds, as well as answer the question for whom they are intended. At the very beginning, the capital market was defined, which represents a key segment of the securities market in general, including investment funds. The financial instruments that most often appear on the capital market as well as its participants are listed, and after that the capital market in Croatia is defined. In a later elaboration, in Chapter 3, the concept of investment funds is clarified and we are introduced to the history of investment funds and their development in the world, after which we come to the division of investment funds and types of investment funds in the world and in Croatia. Each type is subsequently explained in order to understand better which types of securities they invest in and for whom each type of investment fund is intended. The fourth chapter of this paper discusses investment funds in Croatia. At the beginning, we were introduced to the "Law on Investment Funds in the Republic of Croatia", companies dealing with the management of investment funds are listed, and later the structure of investments of certain types of investment funds in Croatia was considered. The last chapter of this paper focuses on four investment funds that were awarded this year as the best open-end investment funds in Croatia and one, also awarded, investment fund management company, where the funds are further elaborated individually and shows the investment structure and yield trends for each.
