Abstract
Posljednjih desetljeća nagli razvoj tehnologije i interneta omogućio je početak elektroničkog trgovanja robama i uslugama. U počecima, trgovina na internetu se oslanjala gotovo isključivo na financijske institucije koje su bile pouzdani posrednici za obradu elektroničkih plaćanja. Razvoj tehnologije doveo je do razvoja novih oblika imovine, od kojih najviše pozornosti privlači elektronički novac. Kriptovalute, odnosno digitalne valute, su vrsta digitalnog novca koje djeluju na osnovi kriptografskih algoritama. Postoje samo u elektronskom obliku, ali imaju sve osobine prave valute. Digitalne valute su decentralizirane i nemaju središnje tijelo za izdavanje ili reguliranje. Digitalne valute sve se više koriste, a tehnologija na kojoj se temelji njihov rad naziva se blockchain. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je pobliže objasniti pojam digitalnih valuta, tehnologiju na kojoj se zasniva njihov rad te utjecaj njihovog korištenja u mikro i makroekonomskom smislu. U radu će se također analizirati i problematika oporezivanja digitalnih valuta u sustavu izravnih i neizravnih poreza te proces prijave poreza.
Abstract (english)
In recent decades, the rapid development of technology and the Internet has enabled the beginning of electronic trade in goods and services. In the beginning, online commerce relied almost exclusively on financial institutions that were reliable intermediaries for processing electronic payments. The development of technology has led to the development of new forms of assets, of which electronic money attracts the most attention. Cryptocurrencies, or digital currencies, are a form of digital money that operates on the basis of cryptographic algorithms. They exist only in electronic form, but they have all the characteristics of a real currency. Digital currencies are decentralized and do not have a central issuing or regulatory body. Digital currencies are increasingly used, and the technology on which they work is called blockchain. The aim of this thesis is to explain in more detail the concept of digital currencies, the technology on which their functioning is based and the impact of their use in micro and macroeconomic terms. The paper will also analyze the issue of taxation of digital currencies in the system of direct and indirect taxes and the tax filing process.
