Abstract
Zračni promet i turizam dvije su međusobno povezane industrije. S jedne strane, turizam je svakako među ključnim čimbenicima za razvoj zračne industrije, dok je, s druge strane, upravo zračna industrija zaslužna za razvoj turizma na pojedinim destinacijama. Tržište zračnog prometa kompetitivno je uslijed globalizacije i liberalizacije tržišta, radi čega ubrzano napreduje, širi se, a svakodnevno se razvijaju nove tehnologije i poslovni modeli. Osnovni poslovni modeli u zračnom prometu su tradicionalni zračni prijevoznici u redovitom prometu, niskotarifni, regionalni, čarter te zračni prijevoznici za prijevoz tereta. U ovom je radu riječ o čarter zračnim prijevoznicima čiji je razvoj započeo nakon Drugog svjetskog rata. Vrhunac čarter zračnog prometa bio je 60-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, prije nego su na tržište nastupili niskotarifni zračni prijevoznici. Trenutno je čarter promet najpopularniji u Europi, a obuhvaća oko 3% tržišta zračnog prometa. U Republici Hrvatskoj, nacionalni zračni prijevoznik Croatia Airlines, uz redovne letove, nudi i čarter letove.
Abstract (english)
Air transport and tourism are two interrelated industries. On the one hand, tourism is certainly among the key factors for the development of the air industry, while, on the other hand, it is the air industry that is responsible for the development of tourism in certain destinations. The air transport market is competitive due to globalization and market liberalization, which is why it is rapidly advancing, expanding, and new technologies and business models are being developed on a daily basis. The basic business models in air transport are traditional airlines in scheduled traffic, low-cost, regional, charter and air carriers for freight transport. This paper deals with charter airlines whose development began after the Second World War. The peak of air charter was in the 1960s, before low-cost airlines entered the market. Currently, charter traffic is the most popular in Europe, covering about 3% of the air transport market. In the Republic of Croatia, the national airline Croatia Airlines, in addition to regular flights, also offers charter flights.
