Abstract Prehrambena industrija predstavlja okosnicu društvene i ekonomske samostalnosti gotovo svake države globaliziranog svijeta, pri čemu njezina konkurentnost u današnjim suvremenim uvjetima poslovanja ovisi o nizu strukturnih i strategijskih čimbenika. Uslijed sve većih potreba za prehrambenim proizvodima, ali i promjena prehrambenih navika u razvijenim zemljama, čimbenici uspjeha poduzeća u prehrambenoj industriji mijenjaju se u zadnjim desetljećima – od strukturnih čimbenika, kao što su tržišni udio i pristup sirovinama, do strategijskih čimbenika, koji su u modernim poduzećima rezultat stvaranja i sinergijskog korištenja znanja i kompetencija poduzeća na individualnoj i kolektivnoj razini. Stoga će se u ovom diplomskom radu analizirati poduzeće Podravka, kao jedno od najvećih poduzeća u strateški važnoj prehrambenoj industriji Republike Hrvatske. Predmet diplomskog rada je analiza strategijskih čimbenika uspjeha poduzeća Podravka. Cilj rada je, na temelju provedene dijagnoze i prognoze pripadajućim metodama i modelima, identificirati ključne strategijske čimbenike uspjeha te, u skladu s tim, dati prijedlog strategijskog plana razvoja predmetnog poduzeća. Stručni doprinos rada bit će vidljiv u rezultatima provedenih analiza kroz opis i objašnjenje strategijskih čimbenika uspjeha, koji će biti okosnica razvoja i opstanka poduzeća Podravka u dugom roku. Diplomski rad bit će od koristi dionicima strateški i nacionalno važnog poduzeća Podravka, ali i ostalim akterima u prehrambenoj industriji uz koju se veže i dugoročno usmjerava poslovanje niza komplementarnih i ovisnih sektora i poduzeća u prerađivačkoj industriji Republike Hrvatske. Istraživanje će se provesti korištenjem znanstvenih članaka, knjiga i ostale literature relevantne za područje istraživanja, pri čemu će poseban naglasak biti na izučavanju dostupnih materijala, publikacija, analiza i scenarija pripadajuće industrije i predmetnog poduzeća. Metode koje će se koristiti prilikom izrade rada uključuju metode analize, sinteze, klasifikacije, deskripcije, komparacije i kompilacije. Posebnu ulogu imat će metode i modeli strategijske i financijske analize.
Abstract (english) The food industry is the backbone of the social and economic independence of almost every country in the globalized world, which is why its competitiveness in today's modern business conditions depends on a number of structural and strategic factors. Due to the growing demand for food products, but also changes in food navigation in developed countries, the success factors of companies in the food industry have changed in recent decades - from structural factors, such as market share and access to raw materials, to strategic factors, which are in modern companies as a result of the creation and synergistic use of knowledge and competencies of companies at the individual and collective level. Therefore, this thesis will analyze the company Podravka, as one of the largest companies in the strategically important food industry of the Republic of Croatia. The subject of the thesis is the analysis of strategic success factors of Podravka. The aim of this paper is based on the diagnosis and forecast with associated methods and models, so we can identify key strategic success factors and, accordingly, to propose a strategic development plan for the company. The expert contribution to the paper will be visible in the results of the conducted analyzes through the description and explanation of strategic success factors, which will be the backbone of the development and survival of Podravka in the long term. The thesis will be useful to stakeholders of the strategic and nationally important company Podravka, but also to other actors in the food industry with which it is connected and in a long-term directs the business of a number of complementary and dependent sectors and companies in the processing industry of Croatia. The research will be conducted using scientific articles, books and other literature relevant to the field of research, with special emphasis on the study of available materials, publications, analyzes and scenarios of the industry and the company in question. Methods to be used in making the paper include methods of analysis, synthesis, classification, description, comparison, and compilation. Methods and models of strategic and financial analysis will have a special role.
