Abstract
Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je identificirati i kvantificirati poslovne rizike vezane uz poslovanje poduzeća Pfizer te na osnovu analize odrediti koji rizici imaju značajan utjecaj na vrijednost poduzeća te kako zaštititi poduzeće od tih rizika. Rad također uključuje analizu okruženja, industrije i poslovanja poduzeća. Za analizu rizika korištena je metoda rizičnih novčanih tokova. Na osnovi provedene analize zaključuje se da poduzeće Pfizer adekvatno upravlja poslovnim rizicima. Glavno opažanje rada je važnost veličine poduzeća u farmaceutskoj industrije. Većina analiziranih rizika imalo je umanjeni efekt jer su djelovali na samo dio proizvodnog portfelja te je samo jedan rizik imao značajan efekt upravo zato što je utjecao na sve proizvode poduzeća.
Abstract (english)
Goal of this paper is to identify and quantify business risk associated with Pfizer’s operations and based on the analysis determine which risks have significant impact on company’s value as well as how can it protect itself from those risks. Methodology used for risk analysis is cash flow at risk method (CFaR). Paper also includes environment analysis, industry analysis and business analysis for Pfizer. Based on conducted analysis, paper concludes that Pfizer has adequate risk management policies. Main observation of the paper is the importance of the company size in pharmaceutical industry. Most of the analysed risks had low effect since they affected only part of the product portfolio and only one risk had significant result because it impacted all of company’s products.
