Abstract
Startup poduzeća kao glavni pokretači inovacija imaju važnu ulogu u razvoja društva i gospodarstva. Najveći problem s kojim se susreću gotovo sva poduzeća u razvoju je prikupljanje potrebnog kapitala za rast i širenje poduzeća. Cilj ovog rada upravo je prikazati probleme financiranja te moguće izvore kapitala u Hrvatskoj i u svijetu na primjeru Rimac Automobila, jednog od najuspješnijih hrvatskih startupova koji je prošao sve faze razvoja. Istraživanjem se potvrdio postojeći problem nepostojanja dovoljnog broja fondova rizičnog kapitala u Hrvatskoj i objasnio put kako je poduzeće od startupa došlo do poduzeća sa složenom strukturom, milijunskim prihodima te više od 1000 zaposlenika. Prikazani su i objašnjeni najvažniji izvori kapitala u pojedinim fazama rasta poduzeća te je vidljivo kako u financiranju poduzeća najvažniju ulogu imaju poslovni anđeli, bespovratna sredstva i krediti iz EU fondova te fondovi rizičnog kapitala.
Abstract (english)
Startup companies, as the main drivers of innovation, play an important role in the development of the society and economy. The biggest problem faced by almost all startup companies is raising the capital necessary for the growth and expansion of the company. The aim of this paper is to present the problems of raising capital and possible sources of capital in Croatia and the world on the example of Rimac Automobil, one of the most successful Croatian startups that went through all stages of business growth. The research confirmed the existing problem of lack of sufficient number of venture capital funds in Croatia and explained the path of the company going from a small startup to a company with a complex structure, millions of revenues and more than 1000 employees. The most important sources of capital in certain phases of company growth are presented and explained, and it can be seen that business angels, grants and loans from EU funds and venture capital funds play the most important role in financing companies.
