Abstract
The topic of my undergraduate thesis is the analysis and overview of monetary policy in time of the global financial crisis in 2008 with continuation to COVID- 19 recession. The aim of this thesis is to answer the question what consequences the economic crisis of 2008 and COVID- 19 had on the European Union and Croatia with special emphasis on monetary policy reactions and point out the importance of the crisis on future predictons , examine intensity of the crisis ,the depth of the disturbance and determine the causes that led the problems of the US financial sector affecting the entire economy.To summarize I talked about monetary policy in Croatia, what the goals were and what was achieved. Then period from crisis ,role of monetary policy,measures taken by european central bank and hnb and at the end influence of covid 19.
Abstract (croatian)
Tema mog završnog rada je analiza i pregled monetarne politike u vrijeme globalne financijske krize 2008. s nastavkom na recesiju COVID-19. Cilj ovog završnog rada je odgovoriti na pitanje kakve su posljedice ekonomske krize 2008. i COVID-19 imale na Europsku uniju i Hrvatsku s posebnim naglaskom na reakcije monetarne politike te ukazati na važnost krize na buduća predviđanja, ispitati intenzitet krizu, dubinu poremećaja i utvrditi uzroke koji su doveli probleme američkog financijskog sektora do utjecaja na cjelokupno gospodarstvo. Govorila sam o monetarnoj politici u Hrvatskoj, koji su ciljevi bili i što je postignuto. Zatim razdoblje od krize, uloga monetarne politike, mjere koje su poduzele europska središnja banka i hnb te na kraju utjecaj covida.
