Abstract
Strategija poduzeća definira se kao plan kojim poduzeće nastoji ostvariti željene ciljeve. U ovom radu definiran je pojam strategije, od začetaka pa sve do danas, detaljno je opisan proces oblikovanja strategije te modeli dijagnostičke i prognostičke analize. Empirijski dio rada posvećen je dijagnostičkoj analizi vanjskog i unutarnjeg okruženja poduzeća Valamar Riviera d.d. U analizi vanjskog okruženja daje se povijesni pregled razvoja hotelske industrije na području Republike Hrvatske, provedene je analiza industrije modelom životnog vijeka i modelom pet sila te je prikazana struktura hotelske industrije. Dijagnostička analiza unutarnjeg okruženja daje uvid u povijesni razvoj poduzeća Valamar Riviera d.d., od njegovih početaka pa do danas. Analiza se dalje razrađuje korištenjem modela strukturnog i resursnog pristupa, a na kraju je dan pregled kretanja ključnih financijskih pokazatelja poduzeća Valamar Riviera d.d. kroz petogodišnje razdoblje te usporedba po odabranim pokazateljima sa poduzećima iz strateške grupe.
Abstract (english)
Company strategy is defined as a plan by which the company strives to achieve desired goals.In this paper, the concept of strategy is defined, from the beginning to the present day, the strategy formation process and models of diagnostic and prognostic analysis are described in detail. The empirical part of the work is dedicated to the diagnostic analysis of the external and internal environment of Valamar Riviera d.d. In the analysis of the external environment, a historical overview of the development of the hotel industry in the Republic of Croatia is given, an analysis of the industry using the life cycle model and the five forces model is carried out, and the structure of the hotel industry is presented. The diagnostic analysis of the internal environment provides an insight into the historical development of Valamar Riviera d.d., from its beginnings to the present day. The analysis is further elaborated using the structural and resource approach model, and at the end an overview of the key financial indicators of Valamar Riviera d.d. is given. over a five-year period and comparison by selected indicators with companies from the strategic group.
