Abstract
Početak poslovnog procesa počinje nabavom. Ona služi za osiguravanje potrebnih sredstava za proizvodnju, svega što poduzeće treba za proizvodnju gotovog proizvoda. Nabava je danas više od obične funkcije za izvršavanje zahtjeva. Može se reći kako je strategijska funkcija temeljena na snižavanju troškova u opskrbnom lancu i politici stvaranja vrijednosti. Kava je dugo jedno od najpopularnijih pića u cijelom svijetu. Odluke i radnje vezane za nabavu kave omogućuju ekonomsku, društvenu i ekološki održivu proizvodnju, uključujući dobrobit proizvođača i poljoprivrednika. Nabava u trgovini kavom ima određene specifičnosti koje su najbolje prikazane u slučaju poduzeća Nestlé. Nestlé je švicarsko javno dioničko društvo koje se usredotočuje na odgovornu nabavu kave u smislu načela transparentnosti, očuvanja prirodnog kapitala i zaštite ljudskih prava te se mnoge specifičnosti nabave tiču upravo tih načela.
