The aim of this research was to create, implement and evaluate an Individualized SensoryIntegrative Stimulation Program together with the child, and in order to achieve better sensory processing in the targeted sensory areas, and to positively influence the child's self-perception. Participants in this study were a nine-year-old boy with specific learning difficulties and his mother. Based on the child's initial assessment, an Individualized Sensory-Integrative Stimulation Program was designed. The program was participatory, and it was implemented three times a week for three months, in a private garden near the participants' family home. After the implementation of the program, a final assessment was conducted. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used for the initial assessment and for the evaluation of the success of the implemented programe. For the purpose of the quantitative assessment the Checklist for Sensory Processing Assessment and the Sensory Integration Dysfunction Assessment Scale for Determining Hypersesitivity and Hyposensitivity from Characteristic Behaviors and Sensory Processing Difficulties Assessment System (Viola, 2002, translation to Croation and adaptation by Fulgosi-Masnjak, R., Osmančević and L., And Lang, M, 2004) were applied. Qualitative data were collected by the method of observation with participation, the use of selfassessment questionnaire, keeping a monitoring diary (by the mother) and through continuous conversations with the child. The observation was carried out subsequently by analyzing the recorded video. A self-perception questionnair was created by the researcher specifically for the purposes of this research. The Qualitative Thematic Analysis Method (Braun & Clarke, 2006) was used for the analysis of the qualitative content. The key findings of the research indicate a significant improvement of sensory processing in the tactile, proprioceptive, auditory, and visual sensory areas, and in all examined dimensions of self-perception, which confirmed both hypotheses and almost all sub-hypotheses.
