Damage to the brachial plexus can occur prenatally, perinatally and postnatally and is one of the most common birth injuries of peripheral nerves. It is also defined as a flabby chin of the upper extremities caused by traumatic stretching of the brachial plexus during childbirth. The realization that a child was born in the family with developmental difficulties and thus with motor disorders causes different emotional reactions in the parents and the different feelings that the parents and the child's family go through. It is clear that the families of children with disabilities face many challenges on a daily basis. Adapting parents to the situation they find themselves in is a lengthy process that is individual to each. It is necessary for the family to provide a stimulating environment for the growth and development of the child, so it is important that in addition to emotional support from the environment and professionals, we educate parents to encourage their child's development and get to know their needs. The aim of this paper is to examine the quality of life of the family of a child diagnosed with brachial plexus paresis and gain insight into the factors that facilitated parental adjustment. A questionnaire was formed to assess the quality of life of a family of a child with paresis of the brachial plexus. Participants in the study are parents of children with brachial plexus paresis. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview and processed by qualitative analysis.
