Abstract
Temeljni cilj ovog rada je stjecanje uvida u razvoj socijalno-emocionalnih kompetencija djece rane osnovnoškolske dobi, eventualne spolne i dobne razlike u razvijenosti socijalnoemocionalnih kompetencija, te u odnos između iskazanih odgovora ispitanika o vlastitim osjećajima te ponašanjima. U tu svrhu primijenjen je novorazvijeni instrument procjene socijalno-emocionalnih kompetencija djece „KDO – Kako se dijete osjeća?“ (eng. „How One Feels -HOF“, Kimber, 2015). Upitnik je bio primijenjen tijekom 2015. godine u dva prva i dva druga razreda osnovne škole u gradu Zagrebu (N=84) u okviru međunarodnog projekta „EAP_SEL – European Assessment Protocol for Children's SEL skills“ (nositelj projekta: Sveučilište u Perugi, Italija, suradnik projekta: Edukacijsko-rehabilitacijski fakultet, Sveučilište u Zagrebu). Sukladno očekivanjima, rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da djevojčice, u odnosu na dječake, i starija djeca, u odnosu na mlađu, iskazuju višu razinu socijalno-emocionalnih kompetencija. Također, potvrđena je i posljednja hipoteza što znači da je utvrđena pozitivna korelacija između iskazanih odgovora o osjećajima te o ponašanjima djeteta vezanih uz specifičnu situaciju.
Abstract (english)
The main goal of this paper is to gain insight into the social and emotional competences of early school-age children, to distinguish any gender and age differences in developing social and emotional competencies and to observe the relationship between the stated respondents' answers about their own feelings and behaviors. For this purpose, the newly developed instrument for the assessment of socio-emotional competence of children "How One Feels- HOF" (Kimber, 2015) was applied. The questionnaire was applied during 2015 in two 1st and two 2nd grades of Elementary School in the city of Zagreb (N = 84) in the framework of the international project "EAP_SEL - European Assessment Protocol for Children's SEL skills" (coordinator: University of Perugia, Italy, associate project: Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Zagreb). As expected, the survey results showed that girls, compared to boys, and older children, compared to younger, reported a higher level of social and emotional competencies. Also, the last hypothesis is confirmed, which means that there is a positive correlation between the child`s responses expressed about their own feelings and behaviors.
