Abstract
Sintaksa je dio jezika koja proučava odnose među jezičnim jedinicama. Rečenica je jezična jedinica kojom se prenosi određena obavijest. Odnosne rečenice jedne su od najsloženijih jezičnih struktura. Usvajaju se kasnije tijekom jezičnog razvoja, a njihova obrada i proizvodnja smatra se kompleksnijom nego obrada i proizvodnja ostalih rečenica. Uloga odnosne zamjenice u odnosnoj rečenici igra značajnu ulogu u procesu usvajanja ovih vrsta rečenica – subjektne odnosne rečenice smatrane su jednostavnijima od objektnih. Cilj je ovog istraživaĉkog rada otkriti je li to slučaj i kod odraslih osoba koje nemaju jezične teškoće, ili isključivo kod male djece i osoba s razvojnim jezičnim poremećajem. Drugi je cilj usporediti jezičnu obradu odnosnih rečenica s obradom drugih vrsta složenih rečenica. Istraživanje je provedeno u Laboratoriju za psiholingvistička istraživanja Odsjeka za logopediju. Jezična obrada ovih struktura ispitana je pomoću dvije metode – metoda čitanja vlastitim tempom i metoda praćenja pokreta očiju. Drugi je cilj bio usporediti dvije metode, utvrditi korelaciju između njih te navesti njihove sličnosti i razlike. Rezultati pokazuju da nema značajnih razlika u jezičnoj obradi subjektnih i objektnih odnosnih rečenica kod odraslih osoba. Nije utvrđena korelacija između dviju metoda. Metoda čitanja vlastitim tempom i metoda praćenja pokreta očiju obje mjere jezičnu obradu, no način njihove provedbe značajno se razlikuje što je vidljivo i u rezultatima.
Abstract (english)
Syntax is the part of language which studies relations between language units. A sentence is a language unit that transmitts the particular information. Relative clause are one of the most complex language structures. Their aquisition happens later during the language development, and their processing and production are considered to be more complex than processing and production of other sentences. The role of relative pronoun has an important role in the process of acquisition of these sentences – subject–modifying relative clauses are considered to be simpler than object-modifying. The study aims to discover is that also case with adults who don't have language impairment, or only with children and adults with developmental language disorder. Another aim is to study language processing of relative clauses compared with processing of other sentences. The study was conducted in psycholinguistic laboratory Polin. Language processing was investigated by two methods – Self Paced Reading and Eye Tracking. The study also aims to compare two methods, discover the correlation between them and to list their similaties and differences. The results showed that there was no significant difference between processing subject-modifying relatve clauses and object–modifying relative clauses. There was no correlation between methods noted. Self Paced Reading and Eye Tracking both measure language processing, but their manner is different, which is shown in results.
