Robotic neurorehabilitation represents one of the new possibilities in the rehabilitation of individuals with cerebral palsy. It is based on the use of robotic devices and technologies to stimulate brain neuroplasticity and enhance motor and functional outcomes. Cerebral palsy (CP) is defined as a group of permanent, but variable, disorders of movement and/or posture and motor functions, resulting from damage to the immature or developing brain. Neuroplasticity is explained as the brain's ability to reshape, modify, and adapt its structure and function in response to experiences throughout life. The application of robotic neurorehabilitation is based on the phenomenon of neuroplasticity, with the primary goal of using robots in neurorehabilitation being to improve functional abilities, enhance mobility and independence, and ultimately improve overall quality of life. Robots and robotic systems provide individuals with the ability to perform functional movements and tasks that they cannot accomplish on their own. By performing these movements, the reorganization of the nervous system, or brain activity, is stimulated, leading to the creation of new connections and neural circuits in the brain. The use of robotic devices is increasingly prevalent not only in medicine but also in other fields, resulting in significant investments and resources being dedicated to the advancement and development of this promising area. The aim of this paper is to present descriptions of the most commonly used robotic devices in the neurorehabilitation of individuals with cerebral palsy and to evaluate the effectiveness of their application through a review of conducted research in Europe and worldwide. The purpose of the paper is to familiarize professionals in the educational and rehabilitation field with various robotic devices used in the neurorehabilitation of individuals with cerebral palsy and to expand interest in working and engaging in this area.
